We are keeping Paul’s legacy of hope and possibility alive by raising funds and awareness for KC PAWS, a no-kill canine shelter and sanctuary, and Midwest Transplant Network.

What’s New In 2026!

A snapshot from the plank competition, 2024 Paul Chaney Fitness Fundraiser.

Welcome to 2026! The Paul Chaney Memorial Foundation is excited to announce that our annual fitness fundraiser is moving, both season and location.

Our 2026 event will take place on Saturday, October 10 at City Gym. More details and registration will be released later in the year, so stay tuned!

Happy Birthday, Paul!

Saturday, January 10, was Paul's 24th birthday. While these time stamps scratch at our grief, they are also a time to remember all that he loved. I know he would want all of us to take time not only to have gratitude for the life we live, but also to actively do something we love.

Here are a few ideas:

Our Mission.

To make a positive impact on the world in Paul’s name. Paul Chaney Fitness Fundraiser strives to raise funds and build community in an environment that encourages a healthy connection with friends, family, and fitness. We’re making the world a better place for dogs and the humans who love them, just like Paul would want.

For Paul.

To his friends, Paul was a fierce protector and would show up to sit with you in your darkest hour. As a personal trainer, he took pride in helping others make positive changes in their lives. As a dog lover, he shared that same compassion and energy with any lucky pup who crossed his path. As you all know, Paul’s heart was big. He was just beginning to dream and experience his potential.

On September 12, 2022, he was killed when a negligent driver ran a yield sign at a busy Ward Parkway intersection. As a designated organ donor, Paul saved 5 lives and changed countless others. At 20 years old, Paul’s mission was to be a positive force for others. PCFF exists to continue that ripple effect.

We are proud to announce that, as of February 24, 2025, we have achieved non-profit status as a fully recognized 501(c) (3) organization. Our official recognition is The Paul Chaney Memorial Foundation, EIN: 33-3017687.
